Hello!
We are a Spinning facility, using Schwinn bikes. All of our instructors
have been certified through Mad Dogg. However, one instructor is "indoor
cycling" certified. Her certification program was similar to Mad Dogg's.
Are there legal ramifications in allowing an instructor not certified
through Mad Dogg to teach?

Only if they find out about it.

Wait, which Schwinn bikes are you using? Do they say "Spinner" on them? Because if they don't, your one uncertified instructor is the least of your worries. Riding one Schwinn bikes that don't say Spinner also violates your contract with MDA.

It's probably up to you if you want to use that instructor. I would just check with your own attorney about your liability issues. If you don't have JohnnyG Spinners you can't host MDA events, because the presenters can only instruct on a licensed bike.

All of this only matters, if it matters to you. I like to instruct at facilities where the other instructors keep up their education and stay current with things. It's just a value judgement on your part. What value do you place on your instructors' training?
