Hold your peace.... Hopefully, I've got some grabbers for this one....


There is a great song I want to play in class... however, it has profanity in it... I cannot find the instrumental version of it.

I have Mix Meister - trying to learn the ins & outs to it now (is it as hard as it appears?)... anyway, does anyone have any ideas on how to either bleep the profanity out and/or can I use Mix Meister or another program to remove the vocals?

Mixmeister is a very easy program to use. You need to know the basics of what it will or won't do. You need to import tracks into the program to have to calculate the time and BPM of each track. The you drag the track into your playlist and the graph appears into the lower portion of the screen. From there you can edit, fade, cut tracks to suit your purpose.

You just find the F-bombs you want to edit out and highlight the area and cut it out. If there is a lot of it the song will sound pretty choppy.

An alternative to chopping out the words is to overlay something else in place of the chopped out portion. Takes a little work, but is doable. You could put a little section from another song in there or just some random sound, like a bleep or burp.
