I'm into classic rock lately, and my classes are really enjoying it. I don't like a lot of older recordings because they just aren't high quality, and even though I enjoy listening to them, sometimes the beat just isn't strong enough for my spinning taste. I've found some wicked cool techo remixes of old songs, for example, We Will Rock You (Fatboy Slim Remix), CA Dreamin' by DJ Sammy, Long Train Running (Future Funk Remix featuring Doobie Brothers). The combination of the familiar with the added rhythm is so incredible for riding. If the song has the original artists voices, it's even better.
Any suggestions to add to my collection?

The Doors have just had a remix album released in the last few months. It is fabulous!

Spinnster10, I love The Doors! Do you know the name of the cd? I can't seem to find anything on Amazon, PerfectBeat, Tower Records or when I search on google. Do you know where it's sold?
I also play a lot of classic rock, but rather than remixes, I sometimes like to throw in new versions of classic songs such as:
Audio adrenaline - let my love open the door
Nickelback - saturday night's alright for fighting
kid rock - feel like makin love
smashing pumpkins - landslide
guns n roses - sympathy for the devil
jewel - sweet home alabama
stone temple pilots - dancing days
sugar ray - is she relly going out with him
ataris -boys of summer
vanessa carlton- paint i black

Legacy: The Absolute Best.
It's more remastered than remixed. Good quality, though and great compilation.
