Can someone tell me what pastrami is? I mean, I know it's a form of meat, but where does it come from? Or maybe I don't want to know.

It has an origin similar to the McNugget or the can of Spam or Head Cheese. It must be food of people are eating it.

Seriously, pastrami is just a roast cured in spices and cooked at low temperatures for a long time. Tastes great on a club roll or with eggs. And please, never put mayonaise on pastrami and/or put it on white bread.

well, if you keep kosher, you'll have to skip the cheese on that...for me, it's warm pastrami and spicy brown mustard on a kaiser or onion roll with a new dill pickle on the side. heaven.

or corned beef and cole slaw with russian dressing on rye...with the pickle, of course...
