I just went to see Prince in concert and he inspired me to create a "Prince Ride." Anyone have previous rides including his songs? Any good ideas you would like to share?

I've learned so much from people on this forum!

Thanks!
Amber

Murphs suggested Raspberry Beret for a climb in another post. Once I started listening it reminded me of a few of his other tunes, like 1999, When Doves Cry or Lets Go Crazy. Haven't used any of them yet but I probably will at some point(not all together though).

I have used several of his songs: I Would Die For You, 1999, Little Red Corvette and Kiss. All went over well.

Have you tried any of the stuff from his new "Musicology" CD? Lots of talent in that offering...

The title track has some soul to it and has been stuck in my head since I first heard it; might have to use it! Give it a try if you get the chance...

A Prince theme ride? What a wonderful idea! I think I will be lazy, grab up a bunch of songs from one artist, put them on a CD, put some movements to them with no real goals.

gag.....vomit....excuse meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee, I am outta your class.

I have to leave now. I plan to grab a bunch of Michael Jackson songs, wear a white glove on my hand and a yellow armband on my arm. It will only take me about 10 minutes to put this ride together. The name of my ride is: A Tribute to Michael Jackson THEME RIDE. My next ride after that will be a Country Western THEME RIDE.

Dear "Guest" Prince,
I'm sorry you think I suck. Too bad you can't identify yourself and maybe come to a fun and challenging class, instead of being a wuss and making fun of me. Prince was great in concert and I just thought it would be a fun ride. Thanks for popping my balloon. :(

FA don't you dare let a big chicken "pop your balloon"!! If you were being "lazy"(as guest so kindly states) would have even asked for songs that have worked for others? I think it's more "lazy" to post as guest when you feel the need to be judge*mental* and unkind!

Guest/Prince-If you can take a moment away from being so perfect you should re-read your post, and the original post. Someone was inspired by an event she enjoyed and wanted to share that with her riders. Where did you come up with throwing some songs together in 10 minutes? We come to these forums to support, enlighten, educate and learn, even correct one another, but not to be berated. Why don't you take a look at yourself, looks like you need to find a better attitude!

I have tried some Prince and it has went over well. I need to get his latest and see what I can use from it. I am looking for more songs like 'KISS'. Kinda funk/rock/dance....

Any ideas?

"Alphabet Street" and "Gett Off" are good climbs.

I love Prince, but I wouldn't like to use all Prince music in a clas in case my clas weren't so keen on him. I like to mix the music up.
