I usually end my classes with songs that make you feel like you are at a concert and the band/group is on their 2nd oncore - loud, high energy type songs to make the class finish STRONG. This works well for one of my classes. They like a BIG finish.

Any idea's?

Thanks!

The live version of Trapped by Bruce Springsteen is perfect in that spot.

Anything that has Satanic lyrics or sexual tones is good for me and my devil followers. The louder the better so I can scream commands such as "Like Ride Hell", or "Give that tension knob some HELL" or my famous line "Go to Hell and back" (They really liike that one don't ya know!)

I like doing a "big finish" sometimes, too...

...but it doesn't always end up being a rock and roll big finish.

One of my classes' faves is "Feet of Flames" from Lord of the Dance. It builds in cadence and intensity from a quiet beginning (a nice recovery before a big push) to a really fast, intense push across the finish line.

Also LOVE Rosalita by Mr. Springsteen (since he seems to have a number of fans in this thread, LOL!) as a fun, big finish.

Try Europe - The final countdown.

Good at the end of your class.

My wife's all-time favorite that I've used over and over for the past 5 years.....

"Rockin in the Free World" - Neil Young (electric version, of course).

One of my CDs puts it close to (but not AT) the end, and I always have to remind my wife that it's not the last song so she doesn't go all out.

Some others:

"Enter Sandman" - Metallica
"Baba O'Reily" (Teenage Wasteland) - The Who (great build @ end)
"Heartbreaker/Living Loving Maid" - Led Zepelin
"Headstrong" - Trapt
"Still Life" - Trapt
"Bring Me To Life" - Evanescense
"Limelight" - Rush
"The Boys of Summer" (remake) - The Ataris (lots of energy)
"Likini's Juice" - Live (great uphill finish)
"Panama" - Van Halen
"Ice Cream Man" - Van Halen
"Are You Gonna Go My Way?" - Lenny Kravitz
"Danger Zone" - Kenny Loggins
"I Get Knocked Down" - Chumbawumba (push the choruses)
"All My Life" - Foo Fighters

I've given you some old and new. Almost all of my classes end with a BIG FINISH. I like to simulate a race by placing in the top 3 riders...."OK, you're currently in 6th place. You've got 3 riders to pass, etc., etc." Or mayble a time trial, telling them they're 6 seconds behind pace to break the course record.

I second Feet of Flames for a big finish. Great song! Another one that I use is The Race by Captian Jack although not rock and roll, still a great finish song.

Yeah, I always run that one at the end of the ride, before the cool down, and I tell 'em "close your eyes...feel some road under that flywheel so that you're riding in a medium gear and can get some power when you're ready for it...and just let the music carry you over the finish line."

Last weekend I used it and I didn't say a SINGLE WORD during the entire song...I even closed my eyes so I could hear them picking up speed toward then end, and when it was finished, they all hooted and howled a bit at the end (and these guys NEVER do that) and a couple people told me it gave them goose bumps....SOOOOoooo cool!!

Thanks for the reco on Captain Jack, I'll check it out!

talking of Springsteen.. A MUST is "7 Nights to Rock" hard to find (bootleg only), but it will leave you wanting more.. and not wanting more.. if you know what I mean.
