Help! I need information about digital music players. What are good features to have, what should I avoid when buying one? Imagine that cost is not an object.

Thanks

Well personally I think more than 20Gb more than enough.

I have the creative zen 20GB and I find it a little too big for working out with. I have a great holder belt but still if I were to choose again I might have got something a size smaller. I have had it for 19 months.

Are you planing on hauling a massive amount of music / rides around all the time? Or just a few rides and a couple of albums?

Personally I might consider a 15 GB apple ipod if I were to buy again, but I don't personally have one to rate it, but the reviews look pretty good. I did have a quick play with one in a shop. It seems plenty big enough storage wise plus its a pretty neat size. Don't skimp on the amount you spend on a separate workout belt for it, to look after it.

Check that the one you choose can handle being used for your running sessions. If you are using it for classes, the bigger the screen the better maybe?

I ended up not using mine for classes as I like to see easily the time counter for intervals etc, and to know at which point i am in my track.

Or If you want something smaller size with a smaller screen maybe less likely to get damaged and with smaller storage try Creative Labs Nomad MuVo2 (4 GB) MP3 Player.

Anyone else have any ideas???

Hey Groove,

Thanks for the information. I do not plan to use it for classes, just mostly for when I run and travel. I want something reliable, and easy to use. They seem to come with different storage systems. Which is best?
