Cycling folks:

I had 2 brand new cyclists in class last nite. A brother and sister both in their mid 20s from Germany. Both could speak pretty good english so I could talk to them a bit before and after the ride (I was calling the guy Jan Ullrich and he smiled every time I used Jan's name during the ride).

Anyway,... both of them are trying to assimililate into class and considering the fact that both are new to indoor cycling, new to the area and from Germany,... I am attempting to welcome them and make them feel comfortable as much as possible. I would like to play some german songs next time they come to class,.. but I'm very lacking in german tunes. Does anybody have any rock n' roll, house/rave/dance, techno tunes from German bands/artists?? I"ll even take a few songs that are in German lyrics. I'm looking for great songs to Spin to and would love to get a CD sent to me containing this kind of music.

I'll be more than happy to "trade" and send you 2 for 1 (you send me 1 CD and I'll send you back 2 custom burned CDs with what I consider to be my "best" material for indoor cycling.

Thanks for reading,,.... my classes are not that "international" but now that I have these 2 nice folks in class I want to make the effort to help them feel very welcome. If you PM me I'll send you my full mailing address for sending me a CD. Then I'll send you 2 back as my way of saying "thanks!"

How do you say "Beer Barrel Polka" in German?

Do they make padded liederhosen for cycling?

The Scorpions are from Germany. I recommend "The Zoo" for a kick-ass climb.

Also, there's Rammstein, a hardcore metal band from Germany. Almost all their songs are sung in German. "Du Hast" is a great song.

Hi Sparky,

at first, I Think my English is nit as good as the 2 Members in your Ride.

I´m German Spinning-Trainer and will try to give you some Tips for German Songs.

Rammstein is a Heavy "Rock"-Group. There are a lot of Songs from:
Engel (also in English avaible)
Sonne (there´s a Marilin Manso (?) Mix)

Also my little Favorit:
Enomine - Mitternacht, Deine Welt, ... and some other of this Group.
Schiller - Ein schöner Tag

For Party-Session:
Ralf Soegel - Verliebte Fischer

That´s are for this Time all Germyn-Lyrics. But there are a lot of German groups Singing English:

Schiller - Dream of You
Scooter - (all Kinds, it´s Rave/Techno)

But at the Moment I´m not at home so I can´t have a look in my Playlist. But it will work this Evening.

Spinnitz, Enomine and Schiller are great. I used Mitternacht my class went wild! Are you on the german forum? I tried, just to get some german songs, but my deutsch is bad... english is so much easier.

German is a good language for strength, the language is more staccato - I love it. Any good DJ's using german lyrics you recommand?

Danke, Spin-up
