I saw this in News of the Weird last week.
Two bank robbers decided to borrow the idea used successfully by others, and had their mountain bikes ready for the getaway. The hit went down successfully and they mounted up to speed away.
Problem was, they didn't know about gears, and were easily caught, pedalling furiously in their granny gears.
I wish I coulda seen that.
