All,
It's been a while. Hope you are doing well and getting outside to ride.
For those of you who live and will be in the northern VA area this coming weekend, I wanted to let you know that the biggest Pro cycling event in the Washington DC metro area will be in town - The CSC Invitational.
The CSC Invitational is an annual event and will be Saturday, June 3rd, in the Clarendon area of Arlington, VA (at the Clarendon Metro stop on the Orange line). It draws 1000s of spectators and features Euro and US domestic Pro cycling teams including CSC (sponsor), T-Mobile, Toyota-United, HealthNet, Jittery Joes, Jelly Belly, and others. Racing notables like Bobby Julich, Tony Cruz, and last year's winner Ivan Dominguez have and will race. Greg Lemond will be present too, as he is riding the Tour de Cure charity ride the following day.
It's a full day of racing and the Clarendon area is shut down just for this event. I will be helping to marshal the Pro race, which starts at 12:00P noon; but I will be down there to support my local club earlier in the morning.
Come on out and enjoy the festival! It's a great venue with restaurants and shopping right there on the course.
Shoot me an email if you want to meet.
Take care and enjoy the summer.
