Hi,I'd like to introduce myself (I'm real nervous as I normally lurk in the shadows) :?

My name is Rick and I like to Spin. It's something that takes me away from civilization for hours at a time. I teach at just 1 club on a regular basis but have been known to cover at a couple more when no-one else wants to work. :?:

I live in England and don't get out much. I would like to make some friends......

I spend alot of time listening to a wide range of music and don't really know what I have. Is there anyone here that can help me please?

Rick

Ps.I'm going to Southern Florida at the beginning of June. Can anyone recommend anything to do down there other than rassle gators?

Rick!

i LOVE your avatar!!!!

I'm going to be in the UK in July ... i'm almost embarrased to admit that i'm going over for the release of the final Harry Potter novel! Going to get my copy straight from the country of Harry's ...er, birth! even though i'll be paying double given the dollar:pound!

so that's one fact about me that i've never disclosed elsewere ... see how comfortable i feel here!

I've been spinning for nearly 11 years, but teaching for 9. I'm a long-time forumite, jumping from board to board. i was once a heavy participant of the old spinning forum, until i got sick of hearing myself "speak"! Now i just chime in from time to time to share a bit of saged wisdom ...

Y.

oh! one more thing ... i simply love to ride my bike ... and, yes, it's slightly bigger than the one in my avatar, lol.

Ok,so you're coming over to watch the film or buy the dvd? And i do hope you have other things planned too, because otherwise that sounds like the kind of extreme thing I'd do......oh hang on,that's me next year. :P

lol! nope, coming over to buy the final novel! it's being released on 7/21, i'll spend a few days there, then hop over to france and catch the final stage of the tour !!

let me know if there's any "shouldn't miss" things to do in London (other then wrestling the guards at the palace ;))

Yay, Ricky's here!

BTW, Yvonne. I actually traveled to London back in the day in order to buy an Al Stewart LP (yes, LP) that wasn't available in the states. We won't talk about how long ago that was.

(Wow, my log in still works! Pretty cool, eh)

So Rick, I hear that your plans to visit Vermont have been exclusive to the Montpellier region . . . it's not a very big state, with not that many people . . . perhaps you can fit in a quick trip south, say . . . to Middlebury. (time to get out your map). 8)

You know Janet, anything is possible if it's really worth it....will it be...really worth it? I left my road map of Vermont in the truck, how far are you from "The Mont"? Also, please list me 5 attractions that I may enjoy,if I were to frequent your village. 8)

Rick, make sure Janet takes you to the Dog Team Tavern for dinner if you head over the Mt to Middlebury. If you go to the Morgan Horse Farm don't step in the puckey. Janet where do you spin in Middlebury? Oowie. . . Dog Team burned to the ground last year. The owner evidently torched the place with himself inside it along with many historically valuable hooked rugs. Thanks for the Middlebury plug though. . . :)

I spin where I work, at Middlebury Fitness, but I've taken to work out at the College lately (long story). You're welcome anytime you come through this way for homecoming or whatever!

5 attractions, eh? Well, if you'd asked me about 5 yrs ago I'd have to start with my a. . . never mind, what's past is past, what's gone is gone, just my brilliant smile and glowing personality are left

I'm not doing too well here, earning a visit . . . how 'bout I just meet you and Angie up in Burlington?

M'bury is about 45 min s. of B'ton, making it about 1 hr and a 1/2 from "Mont-peculiar". It's beautiful all over Vermont, and Middlebury's no different--just in the valley.

It's funny how you interpret things you read. You wrote "M'bury is about 45 min s. of B'ton" which I read as south of Brighton, which is where I live and that would make you smack in the middle of the English Channel - it was funny when I mis-read it,trust me.

So you're pretty close then? cool, seeing as Angie is my wheels,I'll have to ask her nicely but I'm certain we'll bump into you either on purpose or accidentally. After all,it isn't that big over there,is it??!!!

Yeah, she and I have talked about you. . . er, I mean, your trip, and we'll cook up some kind of plan.

Cheeze has been here . . . he'll let you know if it's worth the trip. AC keeps saying he'll visit, but . . . then again I haven't made it to Jersey either

I'm sure it's worth the trip, particularly if you're there  8) I just don't want to commit to anything with Angie ok'ing as she is the driver.I hate when people say "yeah,I'll do that" and never do,ya know? She's back on the 18th so I'll catch up with her then. :D

Hey Janet. :)
I suppose I can't really say "welcome" to this forum, since you've been here before me! Maybe, welcome back, how's that?

Hope you can visit it alot, I used to love to 'read' you years ago on the spinning forum, before that place had a melt down!
