Ok,so what the hell is up with not being able to use my VISA card over the phone or internet to the States?

I go through all the accent issues only to be told I need to call into my local Greyhound centre to purchase my tickets. There are none over here.The ticket on the day is $81 and in advance it's $35.

I do not believe how screwed up some businesses can be.

Rick.....the problem may be with the particular company rather than with using your flexible friend.

I can't remember exactly the problem I had but a few years ago I planned on coming back to NYC from upstate NY via Greyhound (because I didn't know antyhing about any other bus line)

Although the Greyhound bus and the one I ended up using went from the exact same depot in Ithaca and although there were only two counter clerks who dealt with either of the two companies, I couldn't book in advance with Greyhound for some reason and would've ended up paying big time if the woman at the desk hadn't told me that I could travel with a different bus line.

I had the exact same issue with BestBuy and the other one I can't remember.
