OK ladies - this sounds too good to be true. Just read an excerpt but Iam not buying the book. Premise - keep a food journal noting time place what you eat total calories eaten and if it was worth it (a scale of 1-5 shoes). You pick a pair of shoes you want to buy give yourself a goal and if you meet it you buy the shoes. Goal is to modify the things you ate that weren't a 4-5 on the shoe scale - either give em up or eat less. Bribing yourself thin with shoes.

LOL. Wonder if Carrie Bradshaw used this method? Possibly, she is thin and loves shoes!

Me? I'm simple-minded. If you eat xyz, you'll get fat. Sometimes it works.

I think it just goes back to the behavior modification technique we all used with our kids to potty train to sit down etc. Maybe it will work for some. I am not that big on shoes - always in my sneakers - but I am sure I could think of other things to use to bribe myself.

Sure - any cooking gadget - love to cook. I'd say jewelry but I don't really wear a lot. Of course I'm still waiting for the 4 carat diamond ring.
