I've just stepped off the scales where they read 14 1/2 stone or 92kg.

2kg to go in 4 weeks,it'll go down to the wire!!! :P

Just curious, what is reason for the goal? Was it a New Years resolution or training goal?
I think if you take off the nose and send it to me, that should shave off a little more weight...

Yeah, good question. When I was on vacation last december, between myself and 1 other,we had a little competition as to who would lose the most weight by WSSC.Anyway,by the time I landed home I was upto 108kg and really out of shape. So there ya go. Fat doesn't look good in lycra from any angle!

As for the nose,I'll see what I can do.....

Well Rick, I'm maintaining weight and adding muscle. I'm scheduled for New Leaf on 5/14 and body mass the following week. I can't wait to see what my numbers are.

I'll be fit and trim by WSSC as well my friend. Between the two of us, we left behind quite a few pounds/kg of extra baggage.

See you then!!!

OMG - I've been basing my success on being at 90kgs for WSSC which is 6 weeks away. But my calculations have been thinking it was at the start of my vacation which is 4 weeks away. 5lbs in 6 weeks should happen easier than 5 lbs in 4 weeks, would you not think??? :D

You'll be fine, just sub for everyone between now and then

By the looks of your picture you don't need to lose a pound; a big red nose, maybe, but not a pound!

Doing well, very well. Especially since I've been using my bike for transportation! Gas prices are so crazy that I've been toting my kids around in our new little bike trailor, it's been fun too. I've also been subbing quite a bit, so I haven't really been able to take classes which I really enjoy but it's fun to teach too!

Well, leave room for at least one Philly Cheesesteak. I'll feed you salads the rest of your visit...

I don't mean to hi-jack the thread but, when you wrote Philly Cheese steak I couldn't help myself. Born and raised in West Philly and boy do I miss Pat's, Jim's and Tacinillies.(spelling?) Boy, sometime I sure do miss the City Of Brotherly Love. :(

Abby, I didn't realize you were from these parts. Do you mean Taconelli's (in Fishtown/Richmond)? I haven't been there for ages. I'm not a fan of Pat's or Gino's but I'll wait in line for Jim's. Luckily, it's tough to beat our little local place -- Vincent's.

HA, pork parts mixed with cornmeal and spices and formed into a block. Fried up and eaten with ketchup on it! YUM :P . Of course you need to do 2 hours on the spinner to combat the effects  Pink, Thinking you had better take him down to the Reading Terminal Market for some good old Philly Scrapple! Might as well add an apple fritter to the WAWA tab!

Great cfoam... now I will crave one of those until the end of the school day! I love the ones you get fresh out in the Lancaster farm markets... warm and so sweet. I've even seen peach and strawberry ones in the late spring.
Rick, WAWA carries the best selection of Ben & Jerry's around. But if you will be in VT with Angie I am sure she will take that short 30 min ride to the factory with you or stop on the way back from B-lington for the tour and a few scoops. Might as well add an apple fritter to the WAWA tab!

And should we talk about REAL Philly soft pretzels? Not those things they sell in the malls, ballparks or frozen food sections. Real ones, baked in the Frankford Avenue bakery. You got to stand in line for them, but OMG, well worth the wait.

Is there any wonder Philly was voted the fatest city in America a while back? It's a food landmine here.

Yo PINK, Just don't by them from the guys at the Exit ramps on 95. EEEWWWWW. We just got a new pretzel bakery down in EHT near the gym. I stop way too many times for my own good. I still love the original Sturgis pretzel factory http://www.sturgispretzel.com/ out in Lititz PA. And of course the Wilbur Bud Factory. Kelly would love that place. http://www.wilburbuds.com/ Ah Dark Chocolate BUDS And should we talk about REAL Philly soft pretzels? LOL, those vendors off of 95. When my son was a tot, he wanted a pretzel...we were coming home from the Cherry Hill mall. Anyhooo, we came over the Tacony and there was a vendor. I was going to stop and he said, "No mommy, not those pretzels. They have car breath all over them."

I haven't heard scrapple mentioned in years!! I went through Coast Guard bootcamp over 20 yrs ago in Cape May, and they served scrapple for breakfast (I passed on it thank you  ). But I remember one skinny little dude sitting across the table from me was eating some (really fast). They only gave us 7 min to eat our food once our entire table sat down, so speed eating was important. Apparently he didn't "chew" the scrapple well, inhaled it and it got lodged in his throat, he began choking...guy next to him does the old heimlich thing...he sprays the scrapple onto my tray (that finished my breakfast, thanks), and the guy next to him sits back down and finishes eating, didn't miss a beat. :)
