National Orange and Maroon Day

Just got word of this from a friend and thought I'd pass it on...

Virginia Tech family members all over the country have declared Friday an "Orange and Maroon Effect" day. They invite everyone in the country to wear orange and maroon to support the school, community and family members of the victims.

Thanks - just got an email from my University as to that. Where am I going to find Orange and Maroon clothes for tomorrow?

I know...I thought the same thing! I have an orange shirt that I love, and some comfy maroon-ish warm-up pants, but I've never thought to pair them together! Hopefully enough people will have heard about the day to know that I'm just trying to show support and not color blind :? .

Well I forgot that I had a maroon danskin fitness top in my drawer, but then I couldn't find anything orange (I had other orange tops but nothing else orange). So my sweet DH went out to his truck and found a spool of very thin nylon orange rope and began to braid it into a lovely hair piece for my ponytail! :D
So I stylishly showed my respect in class today. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
