Oh, this is going to be very difficult -- retraining myself to recognize a new name. You may need to remind me from time to time. Anyway, glad to see you here.

pink, you'll get it, i'll get my avatar working soon. hey, i did your HIT sprint profile you posted over there, great, hard work out. i was almost intimidated to try it --but i've got atough class and they were ready for the high intensity. i'm taking the HIT coarse this summer, can't wait to learn how to compose that kind of profile myself. i love your quote from brian andreas, i'm a big fan of his, i mean big  i have a rendering from him in my bathroom that quotes, "i sometimes wake in the early morning and listen to the soft breathing of my children...& i think to myself, this is the one thing i'll never regret, and i carry that quiet with me all day long." well said huh? take care..jmd :D

Jean, I agree, Brian Andreas is wonderful. Some of his stuff stops me in my tracks and others makes me laugh.

Funny, I have the following Brian Andreas print hanging in my son's bathroom:

"There has never been a day when I have not been proud of you, I said to my son, though some days I'm louder about other stuff so it's easy to miss that."

Do you get the daily story via e-mail?

Glad the HIT profile worked for you. You'll love the course. Do you know who's giving it?

i don't know who's teaching the HIT course...(oops i spelled it wrong on my post!) but when i do know i'll tell you, all i know is my director loves her and is so excited. hey, how do you get the daily quote from brian? i'll have to visit his website and investigate. i think of him as like the jerry seinfeld of his genre, he takes the obvious and puts it into a context that is really touching and enjoyable... very simple. have a good week! jmd :D

hey, let's face it, we are a cult of sorts  only a select few understand the constant need to communicate about indoor cycling...just don't serve me any koolade in a paper cup, or ask me to shave my head and sell bibles at the airport  thanks for the welcome, it's good to see you all too! take care...jmd

OK so now after reading those quotes I had to go and check out his website.

Did you guys see this one?

This is a special bike that's not very good at listening to excuses, so it takes you exactly where you really want to go & if you kick & scream it makes you pedal harder & go up steeper hills until you're too out of breath to complain & after awhile, if you're lucky, you start to see that it doesn't really matter if you laugh or cry, because it just wants to ride like the wind

I'm actually a southern "poser". I don't really have an accent but since I moved her in '05, I try to throw in a "git", "y'all" and "bless your heart" every now and then so that I don't get too many weird looks and comments like.."you ain't from 'round these parts are ya??" :D

joy, wow! i just love that one and i did miss it, thanks for posting. this may sound a little odd, but on occassion my rides begin with quotes, or something i've read that pertains to the ride ahead...once i did "the road less traveled" and had them excuse themselves from their comfort zone. i'm putting this story people quote and the one from capegirl in my back pocket....thanks! jmd :D
