I was at a couple of the forums that I use to spend some time at and actually post at quit regularly. I looked around them and I noted all the banner adds. Then I looked closely at them and also noted that they are ads for commerce in my very own area of the country. I then turned on my firewall settings to something greater than the average settings and windows from my unawareness software showed up warning that some things were being asked to be placed on my computer and something’s where wanting to be retrieved from my computer. Which also came with the warnings that,” I should know the site that I would allow such information to be exchanged”. I hope that we never have to deal with such things here I am looking forward to being a PBS of IDC. As we look forward to starting a new software. Remember what brought you here and why. We learn so much from each other it would be sad to allow outsider vendors into our mix and make it a marketplace to see if you'll throw down the "Roberts" to be happy more than riding a stationary bike makes you happy.

My husband is a computer genius and he's very thorough about our protection from spam and such. I didn't have a clue what anyone was talking about on the "other" forum when the problems arose because I wasn't a victim of those same problems. My husband said it was probably because we have so much protection. They make fun of Vista on the t.v. but I like that its so protective. I feel a bit safer especially now that I see what kinds of problems can occur. I still feel somewhat in the dark about what really happened "over there" but I figure I'm probably better off, it sounded like a bunch of drama and I've got teenagers, more drama, I don't need :) .

I never saw anything either, but to be honest, it doesn't mean it wasn't there. I am well known for being incredibly unobservant

My dear friend Megale,
Thank you for the thought-provoking, honest and up-front post (no surprise since this is the kind of 100% genuine person you are and may I say I am happy to know you, and damn lucky too!).
The times they are a changin'. We have found a new place to "live" and grow. Now is the time to come together and help "decorate" our new home. Looking forward to what lies ahead. And if I had a drink in my hand right now (water or otherwise) I would "toast" all of us! CHEERS!!!!
Yup, once again it's proven: Home is where the heart is.

Anytime that you get squashed for expressing a legitimate concern only raises more concerns. Let freedom of speech and sharing of ideas live strong at innercycling!!!
