Five Bourough

Getting ready to pack up for the 5-Bourough tomorrow. Call me insane,but I have to do it at least once and my good friend is moving to Fla. soon so it will be the last time to do it with him. Going with a big group though so it will be fun... er.. I think.

Have fun! Being able to ride down the FDR drive on a bike is worth the price of admission. That being said, I did it once a long time ago, and despite the entreaties of several friends, I'm riding on my home turf tomorrow.

Have fun!!! I did it 2 years ago and still marvel at the guy stripping and dressing over and over again in the median while we were que'd up in Harlem! You're gonna have great weather!

Yea, it was definitely a gotta do at least once ride. A little windy and chilly but otherwise great weather. It was quite a treat to ride on the freakin Belt parkway, FDR, Queensboro, and Verranzano. Too bad I had to pay more attention to what was going on around me than the sites,but I knew that going into it. We all had a safe, fun ride. Thanks!

It was my first 'substantial' outdoor ride. I loved every minute of ... well until the wait for the ferry and the hour ride on the Manhattan streets to the car.
I think I may have been sucked into the world of outdoor cycling!!!

Glad you enjoyed.We were on the 2nd ferry out, but still had to wait because they had two that were broken and had to put us on a different on, but I have heard of people waiting for 2hrs. And yes the ride back to the car was a little hairy. :shock:
