HAPPY MOTHERS' DAY!

Each year we set aside a day
to honor mother dear
we send bouquets and cakes and pies
to mother once a year
It is a sweet remembrance
to one we hold so hear
But don't forget
to think of her
each day throughout the year

Let every day
be mother's day
while your mother's still with you
One hundred years
could not repay
all the love she's showered on you.

So fill her path with roses
Do all that you can do.
Let every day
Be mother's day
While your mother's still with you.

NOTE: This was a song we'd sing to my mother, every mother's day. There were 7 of us kids and we could harmonize like the dickens! It brings back some good memories.

TO ALL THE MOMs, HAPPY DAY AND ENJOY YOUR LOVED ONES ON THIS SPECIAL DAY MADE JUST FOR YOU!

Thank you, ladies, I wish the same to all. I often joke that everyone has mothered something, whether it was a child, an aging parent, a pet, a houseplant. Enjoy.

Actually, it's been a rough one here. My mom was admitted to the hospital last night -- possible gall badder -- will know more tomorrow. And while we were on the phone with my dad about my mom, call waiting clicked through -- a good friend of ours was in the ER with a possible heart attack. Yes, she had a heart attach and is in CCU. And my best friend in in the middle of a major crisis concerning one of her sons. It's been a rough 24 hours. But it will all work out, but I expect to be a bit busy for a little while.

My prayers tonight will include these people who are dear to you. I'm sorry it was not an enjoyable day for you, but the day was meant to celebrate motherhood and from everything I've heard, you have a lot to celebrate. It will just have to be on a different day than this. Stay strong Pink, it sounds like you are surrounded by people who need somewhere to lean. I'll bet you're perfect for that! :)

Thanks for your warm thoughts, they are felt and appreciated. I am sure everyone's going to be fine. Visited my gf in the CCU this afternoon and she looked great -- full makeup (she's a riot!).

And, Monica, you are so right about finding ways to celebrate. I actually got up bright & early and headed downtown with girlfriends to do the Susan B. Komen Breast Cancer walk, in celebration of my mom's 10 cancer-free years.
