Kelley Lori and Jen come do it with us! Hell Come on Innercycling you can camp in my back yard - Mister the cat would have a ball! :D Imagine! that ride would never be the same. Nike would be sold out of indoor and outdoor cycling gear and they would have to build another plant in China :x

It really does Sandy. I wish the foundation was around when my sister and grandfather were living with it. Right now anyone that has to live with ,or with some one that is, can get LiveStrong manuals on the latest research so you know what to exspect. It use to be like getting put on a hill in a cycling class and they never told you more than it was a very hard hill with out knowing what the goal was and how long it would last. You could be defeated before you ever knew you could fight and possibly win. Again you all overwelm me with your kindness and I appriciate it.

I could only help a little but if everyone does a little no one does a lot, right? Good luck! I've raised over $1000 for St. Jude Research Hospital so far. I don't know the exact amount yet because the ride isn't until the 26th of this month. I'm very excited as it is my first fundraiser. You are an old pro and the reason my attitude is so good about cooridinating it. Thanks Mike :D .

Thank you Mike, but no, I don't. I'm so completely new at this and I don't really know what I'm doing. The Wellness Director where I work dumped this in my lap in mid-April even though she knew about it since
August so I've spent a whole lot of time just researching how to put it together. I never thought about a link for donations. When my life isn't so crazy I'd love to pick your brain since you are an old pro!

Easy on the "OLD PRO" thing :P The LAF actually runs the website but if you were even to start a PAYPAL account with the link to your orginized event that could work in getting you going. If you also look at the service provider that LAF uses and you exspect to clear a lot of people that could be the way to go. Other wise we just send you a two party check to the orginization.

hey! what about me? I wanna do it!!!
i was able to do the ride in Austin back in 2003 .. one of the hardest days on a bike i can remember! route was pretty modearate, but the wind was like nothing i've ever experienced here in Cali!
have a really good story to tell about that ride ... but dont want to hijack the thread!
When is the ride this year? maybe i'll come up! i've always wanted to visit Nikeland and ride in Oregon!

the ride is in Sept and you know you can come anytime and ride. You have a place to stay and a drafting partner. :P Please tell about that ride which by the way I did too that same year! That was one HOT MOTHA!
This thread is about LiveStrong and anything to do with it. You all are so generous and I am humbled.

Amen! Still thinking about him daily! How's the little guy doing? Any updates? I didn't realize your son's best friend has been affected by this as well. I'm dreadfully sorry, Mary.
