What is the hill you don't like that you do anyway? The hill you don't like to walk up, Ride up even drive up but you do it anyway. For me its Bald Peak in Hilsboro Oregon. "I am going in cover me!"
Bald Peak (1,629' elev.) is located where the worlds of high-tech and rural Oregon meet. Restaurants, shops, nightlife and a fast pace abound in nearby Hillsboro. Farms, wineries, fruit stands and a slower pace of life can be found in Newberg. Take a relaxing, scenic drive/ride :P through the Chehalem hills from Hillsboro to Newberg. Along the way, stop at Bald Peak State Park, where you will experience a stunning view of the Willamette Valley and five snowcapped Cascade peaks on a clear day (Mt. St. Helens, Mt. Ranier and Mt. Adams in Washington, and Mt. Hood and Mt. Jefferson in Oregon).

Gate Hill Rd in Harriman State Park,NY. The first time I was ignorant to the fact of how hard it really was, I made it all the way up. The second time I knew what I was in for, bombed out half way up. Here's to ignorance!

My enemy is named "Sunny Slopes Hill" in South Park, PA. The one side is a grassy slopes side where the kids go sled riding in the winter time. The other side is the road side where cyclists hone in on their climbing skills in the summer.
The first part of it is so steep you feel like your granny gear needs a granny gear. You don't dare stop spinning or it will eat you alive.
There is a short reprieve on a slight level until you reach the next part, which isn't as steep as the first...but it's steep enough....and it's long. When you make it to the top you're greeted by a highway of car fumes, but hey, you made it. Going down is almost just as stressful as going up--I think I hit 40 MPH one time on the downhill (that may not be fast for some of you, but for me, it blew my eyeballs into my brain). Once you get to the bottom, guess what? You get to do it again, another 3 times.
It kicks my ass every time but boy has it improved my climbing skills.

I think I went sledding down that hill about 35 years ago!
Is it in the South Hills area? My cousins lived in Bethel Park and I went to visit them when I was 10 yrs and saw snow for the very first time in my life! :D

Holy heck K-girl! Is there any place you have not been! Yes indeed it is in South Park, PA which is neighbors with Bethel Park, PA (yes there is really a South Park with cartoon characters and all! LOL! )
It's a great, massive hill to sled ride down but boy if you want a challenge take the asphault and bike up it! So neat that you've been there--I will think of you tomorrow as we do our training up and down (x3) that S.O.B. ENENY MINE hill!
