Coming clean 11 years after his win? I guess it was really weighing on his conscience. Ah well, better late than never I guess.

Wow :x
Tour de France director Christian Prudhomme wondered if Riis was even fit to lead CSC.
"Bjarne Riis said himself that he is did not deserve to have won the Tour in 1996 because he cheated. I think the same thing, because he has soiled the yellow jersey," Prudhomme said in a telephone interview with The Associated Press. "Seeing as he did not deserve to win, does he deserve to lead a major cycling team?"
Great we will get you now! Funny finally an article that does not try and link Lance to it. :P

I guess you have eventually everyone who won before and after Lance doping, but not Lance...fer sher.
Lance would never do this...it's not about the needles.

I don't know but in the age when they were aware of EPO and testosterone and blood doping and all he was trialed, tested and tested and never found tainted or guilty. So in 1996 was it a new thing to do? When was the sport aware of its existence and when did science come up to speed against it? Those are the facts that are the score board. Drug companies could kill the use of it right now by adding a dye that was harmless yet detectable to a test if they wanted. But the problem is there is a huge margin with how much they produce and the numbers of individuals that actually need it for life and how much is necessary to have on hand in case there is a major need for it in a disaster that would require its use. By the way did you see that Portland Trail gangsters got the first round number one draft pick? :D

The testing just means he had the best masking agents...you can't win a TdF with out the juicing...does anyone really think you can? Or he did? In the world of sports doping/cheating, you don't pay extra for the better dope, you pay more for the better masking agents. The vision of heroic-champion-cycling-G-d/Lance is a sham. All the guilty do is to attack the accusers. The doping strategy of choice.

So you did not notice Portland got the first round number one draft pick?
Any way guilty by assumption without proof that is what we are doing. Should we not wait for credible evidence or at least a fess up to a wrong doing? Monies already spent, train has left. We need to fix it at the cut off point which is right now otherwise we are to busy worrying what had happened and may be incriminating people that should not be incriminated. I would hate to think that a kid could not be brought up under privileged survives a life threatening illness and goes on to become the best that has ever been. I dig my romanticisms they have testosterone woops  I mean vitamin T

Sounds like someone is working on their ninth step...

Keep dreaming...their all guilty. Kid grows up without a Dad...survives Cancer...recovers...takes 'roids...wins a lot of races...lots of money...does some good with it...still took the 'roids...never caught...great masking chemists...convinces that you're innocent until proven guilty knowing that the masking agents got his back....convinces nice people that it's all chalked up to training, good living and eating your vegetables...but as time goes by, we just figure he's full of crap...but he's doing some good, so he gets a pass, but as we say in business, you can't polish horseshit.

Well only time will tell if he passes without being found out. But there are so many people that want to say "I brought the guy down" out there. I believe that if he stands this thing for the time to see his kids grow up and ride in the tour then we can say "OK may be we saw something special"?

And, as the great philosopher once said..."monkeys might fly out of my butt".
