Hey all,
I remember we had a thread going over on P-O about good wines ya'll recommended, which were not ridiculously expensive yet kind to the palate.

Well, I'm in the mood to try something new. Kinda bored with the wines I've been drinking. So let's hear watcha got.

Jacob's Creek Shiraz is a nice red that is reasonably priced and enjoyable.

I'd love to hear more (red or white) of what you like.... Enlighten me please!!

Oh girl, now you're speakin' my language (it's not wonder I'm overweight!). Barefoot Cellars is a great brand and so are Little Penguin and Yellow Tail. They are all reasonably priced. I only drink merlot but I have it on good authority that it's all good! I'm a member of a ladies group that gets together once a month and these are the brands that I've been introduced to through them. Great stuff, give 'em a try!

As i type I'm enjoying a glass (possibly my second, but who's keeping track?) of Barfefoot Merlot. I think it's about the most inexpensive decent red you can get anywhere. It won the 2003 Best Buy for consistent quality and value from the Beverage Testing Institute in Chicago (wonder how one gets a job from them? ).
I vary what we buy each week, between Merlot, Shiraz and Cab "blends" (since my DH is not a Cabernet fan). I like Little Penguin (of course), George Dubceuf Shiraz Reserve, Fetzer Merlot, Trinchero Family Cabernet, Toasted Head Merlot, McWilliams Merlot, and Robert Mondavi Private Selection Merlot.

Ditto on the Merlot!!! As I have less need for pain meds I've found that my return to Merlot helps me stay SANE while I recover! Yellow Tail and Barefoot are 2 favs.

my two favorite reds are also cheap! "woop woop" & "big red tatoo" one is a shiraz and the other is a blend of merlot and shiraz...mmmm very yummy! now i just tried the wine, "royal bitch" merlot, because i thought about putting a bottle on my old former aerobics director's desk before she quit, but it was a great bottle and it would have been a waste! she was not my favorite person, she ran the spinning program like a sorority...and that is not an exageration! have fun drinking...clink!
