Here is the ride I did last night. The playlist is below (lots of oldies but goodies in this one). I MM'd all songs with the crossfade option and it widdled it down to about 55 minutes.

Storms In Africa (Enya): WARM UP Marston Smith
Storms in Africa: WARM UP Taliesin Orchestra
Played-A-Live (The Bongo Song) Safri Duo
A Pain That I’m Used To (Jacques Lu Cont Remix) Depeche Mode
Heel N Toe (Evil Nine Remix) Adam Freeland
Drippy Banco De Gaia
Flaming June (Bt & Pvd Ed) BT
Riding the Waves Afro Celt Sound System
El Corazon: COOL DOWN Buddha Bar
Little Wing: COOL DOWN The Coors

Looks like an excellent ride. I will add to my portfolio. One question, what is a seated ROH (running on a hill). I thought ROH=RWR. I guess not?

Thanks Lor
Hey put your native MM file out here and tell us what the file is that you put the songs in and we can have your mix if we get the music the way you mixed it

Sorry Mark! ROH I used as my acronym for Recovery on a Hill. I shouldn't have done that since ROH can also mean "Running on a Hill!" Thanks for asking me to clarify.

Well, I'm at work right now and the MM file is on my PC computer at home. But can you guide me as to how to do that? Would I just include it as an attachment? Yikes?

Thanks for the clarification. I'll add it recovery on a hill to my reportoire. BTW, you must use a stand for your profiles. I could never remember to transition at 12:10 of a ride.

Mark I updated the profile and changed where I referred to an ROH to read "SEATED RECOVERY" (keeping the SC symbol there to signify keeping them at a reasonable resistance load).

As far as remembering to transition in pace at 12:15, the music actually picks up in its pace and rhythm at this point, so you really wouldn't need to remember the time but rather, just go by the energy of the music! :)

Yes, I do use a music stand. I print out the profile and put the papers in plastic binder sheet sleeves so the papers don't get wet from the sweat. I also use my iPod as my "stopwatch," watching the timer as it goes. My profiles may seem too detail-oriented for some, but for me, they work. I hope you can at least use some portions of it, or glean some ideas from it! :)

I cover my profiles in plastic, too. I use my HR monitor for my stopwatch. However, I don't have a stand yet. I still waiting for it......

Hi Mark!
"Storms in Africa" by Taliesin Orchestra can be found on iTunes. If you still can't find it, let me know and you can PM me with your email address--I'm happy to send it to you.

It's really cool when you put Enya's version of it first, and then put Taliesin Orchestra's version crossed faded into hers. Her version is one you can totally relax with and let everything go. Then, when TO's version comes on, it's really not obvious that it's the same song because the tempo picks up and perfectly leads the ride into the building of the warm up as it continues. I found both songs placed together with cross-fading, really worked well.

Please let me know if you don't find the song.
