I just received an email notifying me of the points I accrued for WSSC. I know I probably pale in comparison with some of you folks but I still feel pleased with what I have done over the last year. I am well over forty so now I can relax and continue with ce credits without feeling under the gun. WOO HOO !!!!:grin:

Congrats Kathleen, you should be proud of yourself and as David Letterman says, "This is not a competition, please, no wagering." :D

I sure as heck wouldn't place any hard earned dough on my points accumulation but it sure feels good that I reached my goal. :D

I just sent MD an E-mail requesting my points for the preconference and wssc. How long is it taking most of you to have them posted to your accounts? Also, do they mail out certificates or something?!
BTW... I just got my Star 2 and 3 certificates in the mail along with the new card!!!!! :):D:)

We were able to pick up our certs for the Level 2 the day after the conference at the registration desk. I received an email (2 days ago) from info@spinning.com letting me know I received the points in my account, that I had over the 40 points required to stop continuing ed if I wanted to, etc.
Congrats on the level 3 cert. I haven't taken the level 2 test yet. I know, I am a slacker. I will get it done.

Kathleen-
Thank you!!! I was wondering because they haven't posted the points to my account yet. I signed up for two more con't ed class. One next week and the second one in about four weeks. I will be close to 100 points after these two, the preconference, conference and the home study course that I am still pending to finish.
My certification expires in 2033... hmmm that's like what?? 3 hip replacements later?!!
:o

I saw somewhere it can take 4-6 weeks for the points to post.
Do you have the opportunity to attend a lot of on-site workshops/continuing ed? There are few workshops in my area, Iowa-Wisconsin-Illinois tri-state. I have to travel to Madison, WI an hour and half away to attend classes. That is where I did my Orientation with Liz Hoffman. I had the opportunity to take one of her classes at WSSC and touch base with her.... My children.... I can still hear her asking those questions!! What a Liz!!
I have 51 points and want to keep up with the continuing ed. If your cert expires in 2033, considering we are in good shape, that is two hip replacements!!!! One each side!!

Lizzie certified me as well. I am lucky that she is down my way about one a month with CE classes.

I'm almost embarrassed to say that i have 115 points (but missing at least 28 for 2 WSSC that somehow never made it to my total) ... so that makes it 143~
now that's just sick.:o

Holy crap! I'll have 45 after WSSC 07 kicks in, which isn't so bad considering that I've only been cert'd for less than two years.

that's actually really saying something, Patrick, considering that you didnt even have to earn them! your orientation certifies you for two years, right?
you're way ahead of the game ... i'm sure that's not the first time you've heard that, and in countless contexts!

I should have something like 59 after WSSC kicks in. I've been certified for 3 years (June 13, 2004 was my certification date!)! Apparently my Spin membership is about to expire, should I renew? What are your thoughts? I'm thinking a yes.

Musicgal:
I would definitely renew; I will when my time comes. When I signed up I received a cd, a free home study "Exercise Physiology Fundamentals" which was a great course; it cleared up a lot of "fuzzy" ideas I had from previous sources, it also included a Spin tshirt. I think it also includes a certain percentage off future purchases.
Today I bought the Periodization, Resistance Training, and Aerobic Exercise Home study and received a nice discount. Although I have enough points to stop accruing ce's I personally feel it is important to continue learning. The membership offers a lot of benefits.
Wow. I should be in sales. :)

Spinning is my passion. I want to be the best instructor I can be and that means accepting I have gaps in my knowledge that are easily filled either by asking (such as here), researching, reading, attending workshops, and studying.
I also feel it includes music choices and putting together great profiles. Being able to borrow from the instructors here and see a new profile, well put together, is essential. I don't know it all and I don't need to 'cause I know where to go to receive assistance. My students are better for it. Ego has nothing to do with it.

You can help us move in 6 weeks. That would provide plenty of scratch for Periodization. I have driven from Louisville to Dubuque in 8 hours. You can do it too and earn some dinero. Think about it....

What are you doing up at 1:29am? Perhaps the thread timing is messed up. It's 2:11AM and I'm currently babysitting a friend who got entirely too drunk. Maybe if I wasn't sober I would'nt have inherited the job of looking after him. He's currently messing my toilet after puking out my window. :^/

He also puked on my pillow as he was passed out on the couch. I had to prop him up with pillows to make sure he didn't roll onto his back.
Jeeze. Poor guy was in a real bad way.

Some are of the mindset that if you're a big enough boy to drink heavily then you better be big enough to deal with the consequences. While I'd certainly like some of my friends who end up in this predicament too often to learn to control the bottom of their Solo cup, I'd still rather spend the night holding their hair back than letting them fend for themselves.
Because it's that very type of tough love that kills friends.

Hmmmm, I'm pretty good at translating you, C, but "spitters" has me stumped. "T'Rex?" I don't think so -- I can reach the handlbars fairly easily.

Dilophosaurus,
Lived in the early Jurassic and hunted
other animals with its large slim, athletic
body and sharp teeth. Its skull had a pair
of bony crests.
LOL Pink, you do translate well!!!
