It is nice to see what rides are like in other parts of our country.

I can't say we have had any of the rides I take highlighted in any press. Although, we have a few articles that often report that a cyclist was involved in an altercation with a motor vehicle. We have had some bad press (and radio waves) here in the past few years. One of our radio stations even advocated trying to run cyclists off the road. Thanks to one of our devoted cycling advocates, she set them straight. Here is the link to the article

Don't know of any articles off-hand (someone told me that Bicycling magazine name Fleecy Dale one of the prettiest short rides in the country, but I didn't see it). However, here's a book about our rolling grounds: http://www.amazon.com/Back-Roads-Bicycling-Bucks-County/dp/0965273326

Very enlightening article, Raff! Especially since Clear Channel seems to be the monopoly of radio nowadays. I think there should be a federal law that anyone that takes out a cyclist, ESPECIALLY if done with intent, should be banned from driving any motor vehicle, even as a passenger, and be forced to travel by bicycle for the rest of their lives. Their bike should be a special color or be a special brand made to signify that they injured or killed a cyclist. That way they get the scorn of real cyclists who no not to befriend someone who endangered cyclists for sport, and they also get to see what it's like to be on the other end of the hate stick.
Anyone who advocates hurting someone - especially a media celebrity - should be held personally, legally responsible for any injuries caused as if they did it themselves.
Ok I'm done. Need to go pet our new puppy to get happy again. BRB...
