i'm sitting here in my living room in front of the tv with the tivo remote in my hand ~ yes i know the TdF doesn't start for another 18 hours, but i don't care!

Despite all of the allegations and speculation, i am as excited as a geek waiting for the release of the iPhone (which I swear i didn't buy  ... however, i did buy another hard drive to transfer my Tivo recordings to for future DVD burn and IPOD viewing).

So - here's to watching the same day's coverage 2 to 3 times, and expecting different results, lol!

Wanna play Phil & Paul-ism Bingo?

I am pissed Yesssss PISSED because CMS did not publish free Ride the Tour again this year. What gives??? But I am pumped too let the tour egin all of them passed the drug screen (what ever that means) and have been given the green flag to go. Viva la tour!

Looks like the 6 audio workouts are $9.99 each, but hopefully they'll have the text workouts published on line.

what you talking about Liz?

the Tour de Farce. Just can't get into it - if another cyclist wins that the French don't like, will they pin him for doping too? If a cyclist wins that the French approve of, will they ignore positive tests? I just don't trust the outcome anymore, as I don't trust the people that are making the rules. I'm about as excited about the TdF this year as I am about pro frisbee.

Better than the tour this year too.... I'm going to make a prediction - someone is going to win and if the French don't like him (American) he'll be juicing up on a topical anti toe nail fungus medicine that enhances your performance. If it's someone the French like, they'll be very asthmatic and need lots of inhalers to win, but won't be considered dopers like their fellow cyclists.

I think after todays race I have more admiration for Tom Boonen after he was the first to congratulate his last lead out guy and domestique Steegmans. Some team leaders would have been mad in this case.

in this case, both are Belgians ... (is that the correct term? or am i thinking Waffles and Chocolate?) so all was good there ..

wow~ but what a pile-up! there were were so many who came away looking a little "iffy" for tomorrow! i'll be sooooooo pissed if Fast Freddy has to drop out again this year due to crash injuries! Oh yeah, and then there's the Maillot Juane, can't forget him ... hope he's ok too!

dang i love this time of year!

Sweet!
I saw my first Super Six at my LBS on Saturday being assembled. They spent an hour after I left wiping the drool off the floor around the bike stand!!!

I'm not 100% positive of the jersey, but isn't that a Barloworld rider on the left side of the picture in red & black? They are the other Cannondale team in da Tour.

Just when you think you got "the Sh1t that kills", Cannondale comes out with more good sh1t!! Doesn't make the old Sh1t bad though... Cal II & I have many many happy years of riding yet to come :D

I am waiting for Versus to come up with some real tech and differentiate the bikes and their set ups. I want more tech on this stuff you want to see what the latest is from all the manufactures. They had one on the Specialized TT bike and that was so interesting. The use of inner frame routed cables is cool

Or maybe you'd prefer THIS view . . . (both shots taken at the bike race here in Hummelstown this past Saturday. . . the Cervelo with the red rims is the one I got to ride, though :D) - The LBS also had the limited edition Liquigas ride there . . . numbered 8 of 21. No price attached. Didn't get to ride it - wonder why?

Hold on, I'll go check . . . . maybe it's in there amongst all those zeroes

Should've gotten a shot of the Liquigas frame - what a beautiful ride.

Hey, Liz! I was down your way Sunday . . . a small group of us went from Mech. HS down to Dover (via Lisburn/Moore's Mountain), looped around Dover, came up Copenhaver Road :o, thru Lewisberry, and back up to Mech. 70 miles, lots of water stops - felt great, tho.

Sounds like a great ride! My last ride was Saturday - rode to the gym in Carlisle over Whiskey Springs to teach a class, then after class went up and over Waggoners Gap twice, then up White Rock Acres, then back over Whiskey Springs home to do my "chores". Now Cal II and I are resting, but chomping at the bits to head up to Ithaca on Friday. The weather is looking much more favorable for some cooler riding this weekend!

BTW - give us some details on Saturday's race!!! How was it?

Nice ride, Liz - you packed some good climbing into that one ride!

The crit on Saturday was great. The Faulkner/Honda guys put on a well-run race, and the weather was perfect. The riders have given great feedback on the course, too - so it looks like it'll be around again next summer:)

It was a good time - pretty nice to be able to slide out my back door, walk 2 blocks, and be at the start/finish! I got to see (and ride) some nice bike bling, got a free jersey from the bike shop, watched (and photographed) 3 good races (cat 1/2's, cat 4/5's, and cat 3/4's), got to ride the course on the back of the Mayor's '65 mustang convertible (feeling like some sort weird cycling prom queen). Yup, it was a good day.

Photos to follow. . .

Liz, recognize any of these guys? These were the 4/5's. . . note the Green Mountain Cycling jersey near the back. I was kinda hoping Floyd was going to show up in support of this guy:
