Not a HP fan but heard a nice story yesterday about the author (not sure of her name? J Rawlings or something like that, right?) Anyhoooooo....

Mr. Pink's aunt owns an escort business (not THAT kind!). She escorts celebs around town when they are here promoting whatever they are promoting. During the last Harry Potter release, she was escorting Joanne (the author's real name) around. As they were driving around, Aunt J tells her that her grandkids are big fans. Joanne says, "Take me to meet them." Aunt J responds that they live in NY so Joanne says, "Well, let's call them and let me talk to them." So they did and she spent a long time chatting with each of the 3 kids (one of which is in Rhode Island School of Design & took an extra call).

Many of her stories are humdingers, but this one was very nice.

J.K. Rawling (sp) was a single mother on welfare before she struck gold with Harry Potter. She made the story up as bed time stories for her son. I love her, seriously, that's my favorite rags to riches story.
