New member to the forum-new to teaching. I have been spinning for 2 years though. In the real world, I'm dirt and mud on the back guy, asphalt is only for getting me to the trail but I ride three centuries a year on my mountain bike. I am teaching four classes a week, plus a bootleg class on Friday mornings for the hard core spinners at my club. I have lots of questions, comments and will be on the forum. My spinners call me Spin Daddy, But I'm sure that name has been used here before

It is living up to it that poses the problem. I've been teaching for a month and have just finished putting together my third class. Hmm, This music thing is getting hard. How do you guys come up with all the tunes. I have a 4 minute rule and my club prohibits profanity and sexual suggestive songs. That rules out about 90% of all music.
BTW, ignore misspelled words, my mantra: When in doubt... add an "e"

You and Megale can start your own little language. :D He he he, sorry Megs, I couldn't resist. Twokeelya, we've all needed spell check a time or two, as long as you get close we'll understand! :) As far as the music goes, that takes time and lots of it, but it's soooo worth it. Check out GoMusic.Ru for some tunes at the tune of $0.19 a song and as far as good suggestions, just look under the "tunes" threads, there are a lot of good suggestions. Can you tell me what the four minute rule is about? I would never eat something off the floor after it's been there for four minutes, yuch! J/K Do you have to keep your songs limited to four minutes long? That's just crazy! I look for extended versions, six, seven, eight minutes and I'm in heaven! What's up with that?

It is great you found us and are joining the fun! You will also learn a lot here as well. We are all pretty smart cookies (in one way or another).

I'm quoting myself because I started to question if what I wrote might come across as rude. Everyone has their own musical taste, that's what makes the classes so diverse, can you imagine if every class you went to had the exact same music? I just got an all over body shiver just thinking about it! I hope you didn't think I was being rude. :)

I just like to change the terrain much like when I'm riding. A climb in a three hill series, balancing muscle groups, or simulating a headwind, or an attack and of course the beloved grind. (should I have added an "e" on beloved?) Check out my profile I added to the "believe it or not-Profile section" See, you can teach an old dog a new trick.

Welcome Haze! One of the Spinning Master Instructor's, Jennifer Ralph Sage, lives (and works) out in Colorado. Had you ever had to chance to meet up with her when you lived & worked there?
Glad you introduced yourself--welcome to the forum and have fun! It's all about fun! (and learning and sharing and making good friends). ;)
Welcome Haze! You left forumite/MDA-MI Jennifer Sage's home state of Colorado but you are still in good hands since forumite/MDA-MI Jennifer Klau (aka JFK) is stationed in CT.
Anyway, wherever you are, we're glad you've found us here!
