Hey All:

My goal of completing all the home studies this year was met and mastered and I would like to pass on my opinion that they were all helpful, well-written, full of interesting and solid knowledge and information.

I think they have helped me become more thoughtful in preparing my classes, thinking of new ways to challenge, engage, and consider my students.

I especially enjoyed the Breathing Techniques, Exercise Physiology Fundamentals, and Mental Training. Kudos to all the authors for their contributions.

When the time presents itself consider trying one or two. Any type of education is beneficial to keep on top of your game. Or bike, as the occasion merits.:grin:

CAT thanks for passing on the ones you found to be especially helpful. I have been looking to complete more home studies as well. I'm leaning toward the Exercise Physiology Fundamentals. You're not the first person who recommended that one, so I have a feeling it's next on my list.

EPF is awesome...now I can talk smack and actually know what I'm talking about...

Although, I still don't understand why I should raise my lactate threshold as I currently avoid most dairy products.

:) PS

Ever since I moved to the States from Canada, my lactate threshold tolerance has decreased significantly, but that is to be expected as the cheese here is so inferior...I think it's because the dairy cows in Canada have universal health care...

Yes, but as a result, I heard that they have to stand in long lines to be seen and can't choose their doctor! ... udderly ridiculous!

Just because they are allowed to milk the system, doesn't make it better. I am sure at least 2% of those Canadian cows are skim-ming the cream off the top of the system and getting better care elsewhere because they butter up some administrator.
