REALLY COOL!!! I'm also impressed that you even have city bicycle planners. Here in PA all they do is slap up a sign here and there that says "Share the Road" which is about as effective as some of the other great signs posted on our roads, like "Beware of Aggressive Drivers". It would be nice to see at least a decent size shoulder to retreat to when the aggressive drivers are flying by horns a'blaring. I gotta keep working on DW about retiring in Portland as it sounds like it's one step away from heaven!

Don't worry - I'm not planning on getting old, just retiring when my age reaches that magic number. :D

Old?! What's old? Magic number? Old and magic numbers keep on increasing as the number of years that I have been alive tend towards infinity.

Have a good one,

Fred

Fred I Like that name. Why do you call yourself that? I personally like the Fredcast on Itunes Podcasts is that where you got it? or is it Birth given? Any way me too on the numbers gig. My new saying is "todays 40's is yeaterdays 30's" :D

My name is German, pronounced Hair-Mon. Whenever I order fast food or coffee the people that call out the orders can never get my name right. I have used Fred for years because it is easy for everyone to pronounce and I don't have to teach them the pronounciation.

Have a good one,

Fred

Don't forget the ever-useful "Deer Crossing." Do they give the deer jay-walking citations if they don't cross where they are suppose to?

I've heard reports of people asking the highway commission to move the deer crossing signs farther from their house, because they're tired of the deer coming into their yards!

If you ever get into Boiling Springs, PA - they even have Duck Crossing signs in town!

Also to go with the Beware of Aggressive Driver signs, I've also seen signs that warn people of High Accident Areas due to Drunk Drivers. I guess that if they post it, then they feel like they did their duty - after all, they DID warn us about the aggressive drunk driver, so it's our fault we let them hit us, right?

Rather than post signs warning us of Aggressive and Drunk Drivers, they should be catching them, and making signs that say Aggressive and/or Drunk Drivers Beware of Losing Your Lisence and doing some time in jail!

I actually saw one of those digital signs on the road today that said:

"Over the limit, under arrest" it's a new drunken driving initiative. Don't know if it will work, but it's a good slogan.

...going to jail, where you will be making additional signs...

are the signs made by prisoners, or is that an urban myth?
