Hello all,
I am glad I found this site! Long time spinner, about to be a first time instructor. I didn't realize how hard it was to write out a creative profile and blend it with good music.
Thanks for breaking my writers block!
I'll let you know how it goes!

Wow! This is a friendly group! Thanks for all the welcoming. I will let you know how things go. Right now, I am just going to sub for a class or two, but we will see.
Twokeelya, happy to send you a pizza, but there are better ones than Unos!!
Thanks again for the warm welcome. I will probably lurk for a bit, but I know I will have questions, and from what I have read so far, this group will be able to answer them!
Cheers!
Welcome Chitri! It can seem a little overwhelming when you first start...but we've all been there and are eager to offer help if you need it. Just yell. In the meantime, jump in and join the fun.

Twokeelya, happy to send you a pizza, but there are better ones than Unos!!Chitri, the folks in California have a lot to learn about pizza.
Twokeela,
I'll send you an east coast pizza too, don't know how it will taste when it gets there, but it's definitely better than California Pizza Kitchen... Suggest you come for a visit and we can go Pizza Parlor hopping.

Check out Ponzetti's in Ocean City (or Salisbury if you can't wait), I worked there when I was in high school, they make a pretty good pizza. Nicolas or Grotto's in Rehoboth, Delaware is good pizza too.
Next time you're in New Jersey, drive up to Bradley Beach and check out Vic's Pizza, they are my local favorite. In NYC you have to go to Ray's Famous Original. When I go to Philly, I'm looking for cheese steaks, not pizza.

I've eaten @ Nicolas. They got it goin' on! I will keep the other in mind.
I here ya, nothin' like Pat's Steak's! Next time you're in Philly you have got to go to Fish Town and get a pie from Tacconelli's you gotta' order it in the early part of the day cause they only make enough dough to fill the orders. You only get what you order. that's it! But boy is it worth it! You can't find a decent pie here is Washington to save your life.
My mother-in-law just move out of the Village last year to Ashville NC. We use to go up to visit this time of year and just eat our way though the city. Oh, how I miss NYC.
Sooo didn't mean to highjack the thread:redface:

OMG, Abby, how do you know Tacconelli's??? When I started reading your post, I thought -- that's strange, there must be another Tacconelli's, but by the next sentence I realized you were talking about "my" Tacconelli's. You are sooooooo right. It's to die for!
And as a born 'n bred Philly girl, I have to say Pat's is pretty far down on my list of fave steak places. We've a little local place that makes the best. One spring Philadelphia Magazine did a special on "Who Makes the Best Cheesesteak." My son was about 10 or so. We spent the summer traveling around, tasting all the ones listed. We decided our local place was our favorite.
OK, now let's get back to welcoming Chitri. As you can tell, Chitri, it's hard to keep us on topic...

South Jerzi Pizza is the pitts! Give me a tomato pie from south Philly. :) Best pizza I've had in the last 10 years is from Footie's in Essex Junction VT:a great multigrain loaded with the works pizza. OK Bob, Ray's is a close 2nd tho I haven't been there in many a year.

Grotto Pizza rocks my world! If you're ever in da 'Burgh, gotta try Caruso's "Authentico" pizza, no cheese, just a dusting of romano....Ahhhhh.........DEE-LISH!

As you can see.....doesn't take much for these guys to hijack a thread and take it in another direction. They are easily distracted by food and beverage (and other unmentionable things!).
Make yourself at home here. We are really not that crazy I swear! :p

This group definitely has one of the following if not more, a cycling problem, a pizza fetish, a drinking problem or ADD. Whatever the right answer is, I LIKE IT!
Although I love great pizza, I have found, making the dough and making it at home is some of the best pizza around. My wife and kids definitely perfer my pizza to anything we buy. Unfortunately, I don't have a commercial kitchen so sending homemade pizzas on the pizza tree would be a challenge...maybe just slices.

Chi, I also make my own pizza, set the dough, crush the tomatoes, grate the cheese...I can't make it as good as Taconelli's. Probably has to do with the special ovens. But still pretty good.

My first job was working in a pizza parlor. When we were living in California, I started making my own pizza because the local stuff was really bad. Getting good ingredients was a challenge. I will admit it's great to be back on the east coast where folks understand pizza.

It may be all of the above.:oI love home made pizza, but there is something to be said for someone else making the mess and cleaning it up too!;)
As you can see we are quite the group here!

AMEN!!! Homemade pizza is the BEST! Dough from scratch & your own combination of ingredients....MMMMMMMMMMMmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. I have some really great combos that I make on the weekends that you'd NEVER find at your favorite pie place.
Oh yeah - welcome to our CYCLING forum, where just about everything seems to digress into food and beverages, although the cycling discussions are very good too (but not as good as beer & pizza....)
