On October 14th, Sunny Davis is presenting the Profile Designs and Heart Rate Games workshop at the Nat in Cuyahoga Falls (where Danielle F. teaches). I plan on attending and was wondering if anyone else in the area will be there. It should be a good one!

A bunch of people are taking the Spintensity workshop in Kent on Oct. 21, you could join that party. If you see Danielle, please tell her I said "Hi!"

Bob's right, Krista--any chance you can join the Oct. 21st workshop? KAT (Kathleen), Alice, myself, my DH and a good friend of mine are attending. I'm also hoping RaffCycles (Ralph) shows up (or maybe he's the M.I. teaching the workshop! Would THAT be the most awesome thing!). Please come if you can!

PS The "Profile Design and HR Games" is one of the BEST workshops I've even experienced. Also, I hear that Sunny Davis is an incredible M.I. so you are in for a great time and some fine learnin'!:)

You're right about Sunny Davis. I've only met her once, but according to Danielle, she's awesome. Not only that, the workshop was written by Angie S. I am really excited to take it. As for the Spintensity, are there any prerequisites? How much does it cost? I've heard it's a good one also.

Krista Spintensity is not only a good one but it's a prerequisite to becoming STAR 3 certified. It's $109 (less the 10% spinning discount) and it's earns you 6 STAR points. I hope you'll consider coming! It would be wonderful to meet you--Mat has nothing but good things to say about you! (But of course!) :)

I have only good things to say about Krista, too, even before she's had first cup of coffee. :D

Oh-my buddies here are too kind. And guess what, Bob? I have quit coffee! Cold turkey. My doctor told me I had to go off caffeine because of my migraines (we're still trying to figure them out), but I feel so good that I have decided to stay off! So next year, I won't be late for classes at WSSC waiting in that gigantic line to Starbucks. What do you think about that, Bob!:)

I can quit drinking coffee any time I want to, I just don't want to yet. :D

One less person in that line in the morning can't be a bad thing and as long as you're cheerful in the morning, who needs coffee?

Hope you get to the bottom of the migraine thing.

I chose to host Profile Designs and Heart Rate Games at my facility because this workshop has the most up to date research. Spintensity is very general, and has not been updated in over 8 years.

Looking forward to seeing you Krista. We will have fun!

Spintensity is very general, and has not been updated in over 8 years.

This is very unfortunate, considering Mad Dogg makes this a prerequisite for becoming STAR 3 Certified. You would think it would be more up to date.

I loved the Profile Designs and HR Games workshop. I would take it again in a heartbeat (pun intended). :)

I hate to say it, but I will not be able to attend Spintensity in Ohio on October 21st. I started a new job last Thursday and while I can get the time off, Kent, OH is 11 hours away (gas money and hotels) and I need to be practical. I would rather put the funds into attending Miami. I have already signed up thinking it would be do-able; but I need to be realistic.

Think happy thoughts of me while attending. I am seriously bummed. :(:(

DARN KAT I was really hoping to get to ride with you! But congrats on your new job and I do hope you get to go to Miami next year! We'll meet up at another time--I guarantee it! :)

Looks like I'll be in Sidney Ohio on the 16-18, but not for any cycling workshops unfortunately. BW3 look out, here I come!

Good deal on your job, where are you teaching? Did you have any of the recent hurricanes?

As a coincidence, I have a new job at the local gym, Ames Racquet and Fitness Center, as front desk staff. I haven't taught Spin since we moved to Ames. ARFC has a "cycling" program, not Spin. Now that I have an "in" I am hoping to convince the powers that be to make the switch. We will see. After working for 7 years in banking this will be a change.

No, I have not been affected by the tornadoes in the Midwest area. Plenty of rain. That's it.

As a consolation prize, there is a club in Des Moines that is offering two workshops the same day as Spintensity in OH.

Just another reminder to anyone within driving distance of northeast Ohio... Sunny Davis is teaching the Spinning Orientation this Sat. Oct.13th, 8-am-5pm.

She'll be teaching Profile Designs and HR Games Sunday from 9:30am-1:30pm.

She's the deal, you'll learn it right, you'll learn how, why, you'll leave with a lot of confidence to get out there and DO IT!
Register at 1 800 847 7746, or online at www.spinning.com.

Me too, this is one of the best CEs I have taken and it has one of the best handout/booklets going!
