Hi, I am a very new instructor, and I am having major problems getting rid of the gaps between songs when I burn a CD on iTunes. I have set the Crossfade Playback to 12 sec, and this sounds great when I play the playlist on my computer. When I burn the disk (even setting the time between tracks to 0 seconds) I get gaps of silence between songs. Does anyone know how to cure this?

My thanks to anyone who can help me cure this problem!

If you want to stick with iTunes, here's one solution: Select all you songs in the library window. Go under the file menu and select "Get Info." This will bring up a window call "multiple item information." At the bottom is an option that says "Gapless Album," change that from "No" to "Yes" and that should help.

If you want to work outside of iTunes then you should investigate MixMeister, if you're using a PC, this application allows you to electronically manipulate your music files. If you're using a Mac you can use GarageBand.
