It all started with a beautiful, fall drive this past Saturday to Kent, Ohio. We were coming in for a CEC at Kent State University on Sunday (yesterday). The sun was shining and the leaves on the trees were absolutely incredible. Great conversation with my two comrades, my husband and my best girlfriend. Our plans for that evening are to meet up with Danielle Foster, her husband and two of her instructors from the Natatorium.

On the drive up, I had a chance to have a meaningful conversation with Mary from our forum (cfoam4me). What a great lady—so passionate! Mary is caring, giving, compassionate and unstoppable! And she’s one smart cookie. Thoroughly enjoyed talking with her.

We arrived at our hotel only to open the door and smell stale cigarette smoke. My GF’s room was fine, but ours was nasty/smelly. Went to the front desk to ask for another room. They are sold out. I call Danielle Foster: Danielle help! She puts on her thinking cap right quick, meets up with us at a nearby gas station and leads us to a brand spankin’ new hotel. The rooms are glorious—we are very happy!

Danielle takes us to a restaurant, “The Winking Lizard.” We drink beers (well, Bombay Safire for me), laugh, eat, drink more beers, laugh more and laugh some more again. Good food, good friends, good times. What a fun night! And talk about hospitality. Danielle was wonderful. Got some great pics of that night which I will post once DH gets them off of the digital camera.

Next day we took the Spintensity workshop. Got to meet Alice (1derland) from the forum. She’s a real sweetheart and boy does she have the rhythm release down pat. I loved watching her fluidity on the bike—poetry in motion! Took a few photos together (they are coming!)

Also got to meet some other folks who were terrific. One of the gals I had previously met at another workshop so it was good to see her again.

The drive home was fabulous. The day was sunny and bright. Speaking of Sunny, she’s teaching an upcoming workshop in Youngstown and we are heading back up for that one. Anybody else going?

Glad you had a great time. Alice and I teach at the same facility and I consider her one of our best instructors. She "gets it" and it shows not only in her riding style, but in her teaching.

I'm disappointed I couldn't get down to the training this weekend.

And I you, ditto on the aforementioned attributes! Glad you had a great week-end, somehow I just thought you might, lol.

We had such a fun time with Lori, her husband, and friend! Wish we could have more forum get togethers.... Since the regional WSSC never worked out, we'll have to think of something different.
The Natatorium, where I work, will become a CycleOps Training Center soon! We'll be having some cont. ed weekends with Angie Sturtevant, Joey Adams, Steve Black and myself coming up... So I will keep everyone posted.
In the meantime, I'll see you Lori at Sunny's gig in Youngstown, I can go.

I'm again pimping some Spinning cont. ed... Sunny Davis will be teaching the High Intensity WS, (written by our own JFK), as well as Strength Hills and Power (written by Angie Sturtevant) at the YMCA in Youngstown, OH on Sunday, Nov.11. If anyone is within 100 miles, it's worth the drive to hear what flows out of this girls mouth... Swiss Miss (Krista) can second this, we had the pleasure of having Sunny here last weekend.. But they don't have a Winking Lizard in Youngstown, OH.......

I was only on the cell for part of the trip and went no where this week-end but up or down my stairs. HOWEVER, I have given many away and they are awesome! ((((Hugs to Bob))))
