How come sometimes I quote another persons thread and it works nice. All highlighted and pretty, then sometimes I just get the "Quote" word without the highlight? (not so pretty). I know its something stupid I'm doing.

I'm not sure except that maybe a piece of the text is being accidentally deleted by the person posting. The first part of your (above) quote looks like this (at the beginning of the sentence):
Note that is has to have BOTH a beginning and an end bracket (sometimes I accidentally delete the last bracket when I'm typing).

Then, at the end of the sentence you are quoting, it should have this [/] with the word quote immediately following the / so both the /quote is between the brackets [ ]. Again, the word "quote" must have both brackets as well as the slash symbol. So you will see [/quoote]--->I had to deliberately mispell the word quote of you would have seen that sentence on the screen differently than I wanted you to.

If you click on the "QUOTE" button at the bottom right part of the text box to which you are responding, look at your text in the window where you are typing and try and be sure that each time you've got all of the necessary characters (and that you didn't accidentally type over something and/or delete it). Hope that helps! :)

Sandy, do you have any idea how long it took me to figure this out? Let's just say, a heck of a long longer than it has taken you.

And if you want to do multiple quotes, click on the button that is a quote mark with a plus sign for the first quote, then click on the regular quote button for the last quote and voila!

Oy, I've got a feeling this will not be a simple as you make it sound. For some of us.

When you quote.. make sure you leave a space between the last word you type and the
bracket. I find the same problem when I am typing too darn fast.. I'm getting like Megal I think :o but then again.. who better to be like! How come sometimes I quote another persons thread and it works nice. All highlighted and pretty, then sometimes I just get the "Quote" word without the highlight? (not so pretty). I know its something stupid I'm doing.

When you have a date, let me know. The calendar can be a challenge.

...The calendar can be a challenge. They're actually quite simple to use. Each little square has a number in it that corresponds to a day of the month...:D
