I found this forum of Spin.com. Certified in Feb 07, I can not generate any
interest from the Director @ Gold's, where I am a member to teach, because of my age. The Jewish Comm. Ctr called me and I have a spin gig there. I consider myself "mature", being a Baby Boomer. Between teaching & riding, I am on a bike 7 times per week, take 2 ab classes per week, and start my day with 300 crunches before I get on a bike. Throw in a Body Pump, Body Flow, an occasional Pilates Class and my own "rep" routine off the ball, I am rather busy.
Also, I may be the only spin instructor in the world who is also
a pharmacist. Keep that in mind as we ride together.

Dr. Paul welcome to the fold! You will find a very, very warm group of people on this forum. You'll find a great deal of intelligent conversation, wit & incredible humor! I know you'll fit right in. :) Really glad you found your way here--pull up a chair and dig in! And again, WELCOME! PS we have LOTS of Baby Boomers here! You will feel right at home.

Welcome Paul! Another middle-ager here. Hey, I could live to 104, right? And the good thing, if I do, I'll still have my Spin cert, since it's for life. I'd say it's Gold's loss.

Hope you enjoy your time here -- we're a friendly group and I look forward to getting to know you. It will be nice to has a pharmacist in the family!

Welcome Paul! You know as far as types of instructors go, Spinning/Cycling instructors have a higher average age compared to other group fitness instructors. Just come to WSSC and you'll see what I mean. ;)
Teaching Spinning is great....you can have a long shelf life!

Glad to have you with us!

Hope you're not disappointed by the lack of maturity here, not that some of aren't old, we're just immature. :D What I mean to say is welcome and Lewey isn't as old as he thinks he is.

Paul:

Welcome!! We are a great group of people at this forum, if I do say so myself. You will learn a lot from the posts. Do not hesitate to share your questions and knowledge with us as well. We are always on the lookout for good ideas and great conversation.

The only real issue we have here is running with scissors.... Don't know who started it and can't get them to quit....

1. a spin freak
2. a abs freak

Maybe we're related!

If you have a moment, and via IM, please tell me what happened with your local Gold's, and let me know your comfort level with driving to a club further East to teach.

Yo...old guy...you're only as old as I think you are. Or, your only as old as the music you suggest or recommend.

So your age is entered as TBD.
