Read up on these. My girlfriend who is enrolled in the Integrative Nutrition program told me about these berries. They taste quite good and are loaded with antioxidents and B vitamins and amino acids.

Sandy, I if it sounds to good to be true, it isn't true. The stuff mentioned on the website reminded me of Dr. Pierce's Compound. The good doctor ran a sanotorium of sorts here in Buffalo and sold his compound as a tonic to cure about everything.
I own a bottle in a locked cabinet, for which I can't find the key, but the package lists the ingredients as: ( from what I can see)
Smart Weed
Wild Yam
Jamaica Dogweed
Jamaica Ginger
Camphor
Say what dat stuff? Camphor is toxic and has been removed from most products.
I am a pharmacist, maybe the only Spinner RPh instructor in the world
and I would not touch a Goji Berry, esp @ the price- YOW.
If any one questions this post, I'll find the key to the cabinet, AND dig out my copy of Dr. Pierce's book stashed away in a closet for reference. Yea the dude was a man for all people, author, doctor, ran a place, sold stuff,
like a Dr. Phill of the 19th century

Gah! Thanks Paul for the low-down. Sandy I hope you didn't experience any unpleasant side effects. May be best to put them down and slowly...walk...away....:(

Well after doing additional research via the web as the good Dr. brought to light, what I did find out was, yes there have been some very aggressive marketing claims (everyone is looking to make a buck), and although most claim to be organic they still should be washed, people on blood thinners may want to avoid them, and they are expensive. But they do contain high amounts of what I had mentioned earlier and I really don't think they can be compared to the elexer that is locked up in the Dr.s cabinet. They are berries.

You shouldn't need to even go this far, sandy.
When you read such extravagent claims as...
19 amino acids...
21 trace minerals incuding Germanium (why not Americium???)
4 unique polysaccharides found in no other food (no-one else has heard of them, then?)
it should immediately light up your Baloney Detector.
What's the "Integrative Nutrition"programme your friend's signed up with....an MLM?
Vivienne.....always on the lookout for flim flam and Weird Stuff
