Youngest son is experimenting with being a veggie - even making a meal for us once a week. Good stuff so far. In turn, I tried a new version of stir fry, using tempeh instead of chicken or beef or tofu - although it looks like solidified vomit, it really tastes great!!! I'll be using it in more recipes in the future.
If you haven't tried it yet, it's really worth a shot!!

LOVE Tempeh. Try grilling it on a grill pan with a little sesame oil and tamari sauce. It's really good. I also have a good recipe for tempeh Sloppy Joes that all of my kids will eat and only one of them is a vegetarian. If you would like it let me know.
Liz, look back at my post for sear tofu for a great veggie meal!

Abby, if you could add the recipe to the recipe section, that would be great. We have a vegetarian restaurant in town that is amazing. They make tempeh in a way that could fool the staunchest carnivore. I've tried to duplicate it, but haven't been successful yet.

Thanks, Abby - I'll take a look. My greatest joy in this is that my son is actually eating healthy and WANTING to eat healthy, so I'm doing my best to encourage him, whether or not it involves meat. I was really impressed with tempeh - I'd be interested in the sloppy joe recipe too, if it's not a protected family secret recipe :o)
