Hmmm....all this talk of book learnin' has started me wondering if, instead of praising the virtues of the CSCS certification and complaining about poor CEC choices for NASM, I'd be better off joining you guys and spending the money and energy on working for the CSCS instead of retaining NASM certification.

Just wondering, mind

After I read my post I thought there was something of an alphabet soup there.

So CECs....yes, you should know this. These are the continuing education credits that you have to accrue to re-certify with your certification body.

NASM...National Academy of Sports Medicine....www.nasm.org

CSCS....Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist: one of two certifications offered by the NSCA....National Strength and Conditioning Association...... www.nsca-lift.org
