and a beefy Oxy-Ace setup I used to cut plate steel with

Yup,

I'm a Mig guy myself, but can handel a Tig if necessary. I have a Lincoln stick for sale if you are in the market. I built my first race car with a stick welder, ugly as heck, but it held up. I wish there had been a Mig welder around back then.
