I remember some posts a few years ago about being a volunteer at the WSSC and getting a discount on registration. I didn't see anything about it on the brochure online at spinning.com. Does anyone know anything about this? Maybe I need to call headquarters. Thanks. Sue

Hi Sue,

I'm pretty sure I remember you from the old MDA spin forum.

I've been a WSSC volunteer 6 times in Miami and once in Chicago. The good thing is that being a volunteer actually allows you to attend any conference sessions that have space available at no charge. The downside is that volunteering requires a tremendous commitment of your time and you might very well end up missing some sessions and rides that you might've really had your heart set on.

I would suggest giving Michelle at MDA a call to find out exactly what the volunteer game plan is for this year.

Sue welcome to the forum. Hope to see more from you soon! We've got a great group here ( and very responsive as you can see!). Thanks for adding yourself to the fold. Again, WELCOME! :)

Hey Sue! (waving hello) :D

A few days ago I was reorganizing ALL my cds from cd trees that I was on for the last several years, and obviously came across yours. It was an Oct 04 tree from the PO site. You titled it 'Sue's Rolling Hills', and I thought "wow, she had some great taste in tunes back then, wonder where she is now?" :o
And here you show up a couple days later! Weird......I must have sent the right vibes to you!

Welcome to Inner-Cycling, Sue. Hope WSSC works out for you. Have you ever been to the WSSC?

I have never attended the WSSC although I have been an instructor for almost 10 years now. The biggest negative factor has been the cost of the whole thing. That's why I have been contemplating being a volunteer. I'm still thinking about it.

Kszspin--You must have been the reason I drawn here!
