From This Mornings Class .......

As this mornings profile was winding down I asked my students to pick-up their speed (surge) to the finish. Without thinking I told them "act like you just got caught making out with Lance Armstrong's girlfriend and he was chasing you on his bike". From my left one of the ladies yelled "heck with that. I just got caught making out with Lance Armstrong and his girlfriend is chasing me on her bike". Which drew this response from one of the ladies to my right "don't worry Karen - you can take Mary Kate Olsen".

I'm glad it was the end of class. After that exchange there was nothing more to say.

I said this, "were in a paceline and you have 10 seconds to get around the person in front, well if you've never been in a paceline imagine pitbulls are chasing you and you need to increase your speed, alright now imagine Michael Vick's pitbulls are chasing you, if that doesn't work, now imagine Michael Vick is chasing you with his pitbulls." I got a few chuckles......
