Sheldon Brown, the patron saint of cycling and mensch, has passed away at the age of 63. He will be missed by many in the Boston velo community, as well as untold numbers of people who have enjoyed the wealth of information and inspiration which can be found on his amazing treasure trove of a website here: http://www.sheldonbrown.com/home.html

I never met the man, but I feel like I've lost a favorite uncle. He loved cycling so much, he even kept at while living with a degenerative neurological disorder.

Oh no! I loved his website. Haven't been on for a while though. He seemed like a character and he will be missed through the cycling community.

But boy what a wealth of information he shared in his lifetime. Now THAT'S a legacy.

Rest well, Sheldon Brown.

Oh no! My special Mt. Washington cassette is from his shop. I knew he had neuro issues, I didn't realize it had gotten that bad. :(

Thanks JBird, for posting this.
