So I'm burning the CD's for the February tree from itunes and get through 7 of them and a message pops up saying your only aloud to burn 7 copys of this playlist. I tried changing the name of the playlist but that doesn't work any ideas to work around this?

Can you create a new playlist, populate it with the same songs, then create the CDs from there?

Or, you can try copying the first CD, if you have CD copying software. I made my first CD through iTunes and am now copying it multiple times through Nero.

That's what I did the last Tree I was in.

I just copied the CD from a CD using 2 burners (I think)...my BF did it for me so....

Couldn't you also just rip the music off of the CD onto your computer and then burn it?

Totally not a computer-whiz and hope the .02 isn't completely useless.

Im trying the first idea. Tried copying the CD in Nero and burnt 3 more CD's when I tried to play them back they were blank even though it looked like it was going through the burning process.

Sandy -- That happened to me the other night. I thought it wasn't burning the CDs, because they came out blank. But, I rebooted my computer, put the CDs in the drive and voila! they had the files on them. I'm not sure if that is what's happening to you, but I'd suggest not throwing the CDs away until you've had a chance to reboot your machine then verify they're really blank.

Well John that didn't work it was blank. But I sovled my dilemma and downloaded an old sonic software CD and just copied them using that. Don't know why Nero didn't work but its all good now. Phew!

I'm glad it worked out, though it's a shame you wasted a few CDs in the process.

By the way...did creating a new Playlist solve the other problem?

No the new playlist did'nt work (that itunes sure is a smarty pants). And I really didn't waste any CD's because they were blanko and they burnt fine with the Sonic. Thanks

The only real answer to this problem is to go DRM free! ITunes is evil:mad:.

Another way around this problems is to burn the CDs as data rather than music CDs. There are a couple of ways to do this: Change the burning preferences on the advance tab in the iTunes preferences. The may be a limit with this, but I don't think there is.

A second way to do this is to copy the songs you want to burn and copy them to a folder on your desktop, then burn them to a CD as data rather than music files. Either way the songs convert back to music files when they are imported to your music library.
