I cheated and bought Sarah Lee pound cake. As it was, I had to use our oven next door to make the bread while the lamb and pork roast were cooking in the oven at home. I don't think it would have made much of a difference since you use such thin slices. It's all about the sauce, fruit and whipped cream for me!

Wash two pints of strawberries and halve them.
Wash one container of blueberries and add them to the strawberries.
Drizzle 1 tablespoon of pure maple syrup on the berries.

Heat 1 jar of Cascadian Farms Organic Raspberry Preserves in a small sauce pan over medium heat while stirring with a whisk. Slowly add one cup of white wine to the preserves and continue to cook and stir for about five minutes.

Beat two small containers of Organic Valley Heavy Whipping Cream with a mixer on medium high speed, while adding a tablespoon of pure maple syrup, until fluffy. There is such a huge differene between the organic and the regular; they're like two different products!

Drizzle the hot sauce over the pound cake, top with lots of berries and a generous dollop of whipped cream! It's to die for!

Any recipe that has the word "drizzle" in it is a keeper in my book. Monica your recipes are so scrumptious sounding--I'm getting chunky just reading them! This is another keeper--and I too, will cheat and buy the Sarah Lee pound cake. If I eat the whole thing, will I only gain a pound, since it's a pound cake? ;)

Drizzle, it's such a descriptive word, isn't it? Pound cake seems so harmless; not so! Don't look at the ingredients or the nutritional values; you'll never eat it again!
