What other music and ipod management programs are being used besides iTunes?? I have recently gotten a new computer (windows based) and I am considering alternatives. I have always gotten good advise and info here and consider your opinions valuable:)

For iPod and song management, if that's all you're going to do, you can't beat iTunes for the price, IMO.

Yes, I 2nd that.
That's all I use (and MM) for both Mac and Windows machines. It is also useful to synchronize if you have more than 1 Ipod (I have 3 :p)...
I know, I know... I need professional help. :D

Alex, maybe you and AC should start a self help group-'Pods Anonymous'! I myself have 2 but keep an eye on www.podswap.com for another. I can't wait to join the group! http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/36/36_1_52.gif (http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb001_ZNfox000)

I know a great professional that can help with your condition and is qualified to do an "ipodectomy". The I'm not sure if your insurance will cover this procedure, but with the way Dr's write it may get mistaken for a different type of surgery??

Oh my! It's great to hear I'm not alone in this... one is for all of my music, another one is for my classes (only mixed music goes in it) and the third is permanently docked in my kitchen for cooking... so my food is made with love & rhythm baby! :D

Ouch! It may not, so I'll save my $$$ and perhaps get an iPhone (when there available on something other than AT&T). :p

Sorry, I should've given you my take on this too...
hmmm... I've never paid attention to the versions really... I keep updating every time there's a new one so I have the latest, I haven't noticed anything other than increased functionality...
Sorry, not much help here... perhaps one of the resident experts has a better answer.

You have to keep your iTunes updated if you want it to work with Mixmeister. I learned that this weekend. I kept ignoring my computing asking me if I wanted to upgrade to the latest version of iTunes, and then when I went to import my songs into Mixmeister, although they all went in to my song list only 2 of them cross faded (and the rest were just sitting in there--I couldn't even see the drop down to cross fade, etc.). SOooooo...I downloaded the latest version and viola! Mixmeister worked as normal!
For every occasion, there's an Ipod. #8 will probably be an IPhone when they make a 32G version.
I took 5 of them to China...left the 2 shuffle babys home.
I don't look down at the Beany Baby people.

Rhapsody is the only other that does pretty much the same thing BUT you don't have to have a certain player to use it.
