Three stars and two thumbs up. It was a great comic book movie, relatively true to the source, great special effects, but not overly CGI. Good acting performances by Robert Downey Jr., Jeff Bridges, Terrence Howard and to top it off Gwyneth Paltrow...

Ditto that, Bob! The whole family went to see it together Saturday night (which initially was not a popular option for the 16-year-old daughter in the house).
Everyone - and I mean Mom, Dad, 16 and 15 year old daughters and 12 year old son - loved it! Great flick. . .
Very cool techie stuff. . . and Robert Downey Jr. is terrific.
And here's my highest endorsement: I was able to sit relatively still for the whole 2 hours - not an easy thing for me by any means. It's that good.

I'm hoping there's a sequel... Looking forward to Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) coming next year...

OMG, if you haven't seen it yet, leave work right now and GO! It is fantastic. He's a man, wrapped in a machine, wrapped in a missile... what's not to love?!?!?
I wannabe ironman! Or married to one... (Mine's close, but he can't fly)

DH saw the previews and immediately was drawn to it. Can't wait to see it--you all ("you guys" in these parts) have peaked my curiosity mighty heftily...thanks for the heads up.
Finally saw it. Wow! I am already wanting to see it again. We all enjoyed it. Even my 9 year old sat still for the whole thing (and he's not known for that). Haven't had that much fun at the movies in a while, maybe even since the Matrix....

Right now one of the original Iron Men -who did the first challenge with a bunch of his friends in Hawaii- is running across the country with his son to raise $$$. The very first day he wiped out on a downhill, and got a bunch of stitches in his head.... from there he just started running again. He's also still an ACTIVE Marine!!!! It's called The Freedom Run if you want to Google it.
