So I've got a lot of songs I've downloaded from iTunes in AAC-protected format. If Google "iTunes to Mp3" I get a lot of hits for little utilities that claim to be able to convert my iTunes files to Mp3 format.

Do any one you guys have a recommendation on a converter tool?

I am really starting to get into using MixMeister and I find it incredibly unfair that I've paid for music but am unable to use it as I see fit.

In the future, I will spend my music money at Amazon, perhaps, instead of iTunes for this very reason.

Thanks a bunch.

The only one that is truly lossless is MyFairTunes, but if you have the latest Itunes it won't work. It only works on Itunes 7.5 or older. You may want to try Soundtaxi. This is a capture program and there will be a lossy conversion. with that said, it beats burn and rip.

Hope this helps,:)

Check out Switch, it's a free audio conversion software, it converts the Protected AAC files to a variety of formats. There also Switch Plus, but you have to pay for that.
