The Seagull Century is celebrating their 20th anniversary. It starts in Salisbury, Maryland, spanning Wicomico and Worchester counties. It is a relatively flat ride in some very scenic areas. Since I grew up in the area, I will gladly play host. Who's with me?

Thanks for the warning. Now how many folks will offer suggestions on how to improve the comfort of your ride?:D

How 'bout I throw another September option out there? 9-21-08 - the Harrisburg Bike Club's Three Creeks Century. Starts and ends in Carlisle, PA.

It's a beautiful, un-crowded, rural ride - with homemade baked goods and freshly grilled burgers and dogs as well as homemade soup at the start/finish.

Whaddya say? A great warm up option for the Seagull :D

I've registered for the Seagull and the Deckerts are in as well. Hadn't considered a warm up... I'll have to check the calendar for conflicts... I'll keep you posted.

I was hoping to get a better response for the Maryland forum folk... Abby? Traci? You ladies up for this?

Jon and I looked at the Three Creeks century. We are riding a metric on 9/1 Labor Day in Hanover PA, as well as 9/6 in the Civil War Century (takes you to the battlefields of Antietam, Gettysburg, and through the Catoctin Mountains). We are lucky to be in an area that is surrounded the Appalachian mountains.

We'll definitely be looking forward to the FLATS of the eastern shore!
